Brake fluids, heat transfer fluid AdBlue®, etc. Analysing these types of fluids allows to check and determine the characteristics, the quality and the stability.

ANALYSES AND CHECKED POINTS (EXAMPLES)

BRAKE FLUID

To analyse brake fluids, 3 indicators are indispensable :

• Water content
• Boiling point. Essential indicator because if the brake fluid is transformed into a gas when submitted to high pressures, this will lead to total loss of the brakes.
• Type of fluid (LHM, DOT, etc.)
• Etc.

ADBLUE®

For an AdBlue® analysis, the main indicators analysed are :

• The urea percentage
• The refraction index
• Contents of elements : Al, Ca, Mg, Na, K, Zn, Ni, Cr, Cu, Fe, etc.)
• NH3 alkalinity (check that the product is not transformed before use)
• Contamination (check for presence of solid exterior contamination)
• Etc.
