The interests in following-up dielectric fluids are many :
– avoids the stop of production due to breakdown,
– answers PCB regulations,
– provides the necesary information to all parties for the compulsory follow-up of the transformers.
The dielectric fluid analysis measures several indicators which, according to their severities, reveal various types of anomalies (electric and thermal defects, premature ageing, loss of insulating capacity, etc.).
From results of analyses transmitted by our laboratory, our team of diagnosticians-consultants will provide you with a detailed and reliable diagnostic on the ageing condition of the dielectric fluid and customised recommendations to assist you in the conditional maintenance of your electrical installations.
We recommend you to analyse your dielectric fluids each year for optimum preventive maintenance. This yearly follow-up sequence also includes an analysis of the dissolved gases, and a set of analyses to check the condition of the dielectric fluid (water content, acid number and dielectric strength).
Every 4 years, we recommend you to add to this sequence the analysis of the furan derivatives to evaluate the ageing of the paper. If anomalies are detected or during the guarantee period of your transformer, we recommend to reduce this frequency.
